Yara Al-Nimer, A Jordanian Palestinian Musician, born in 1993. She started her music career at an early age, as a vocalist and a singer, mainly performing Arabic Classical Music. Yara’s admiration to the Arabic Classical Music drove her to master its techniques, using the Arabic Maqam vocal system, Taqseem, Mawal, the Andalusian Muwashahat, and many more traditional and classical vocal techniques. Yara choose the Qanun (an Arabic string instrument) to play in addition to Piano, to complement he musical knowledge and to enrich the authentic experience.
Yara studied music composition and conducting at the University of Jordan, Upon graduation in 2017, she became the First Female Orchestra Conductor with a university degree in this major in Jordan and one of only a handful of ”MAESTRAS" in the Arab world.
Through out her career yara is an active member of a number of local bands, released couple of songs had her own solo concerts as well as many collaborations with talented musician both local and abroad. she is also a vocal coach and teaches music lessons to different age groups. She has also been composing classical music and score Music For Film.

Yara had her first Solo concert ( حفلة ربيع الاردن) along with other musicians of the music conservatory back in 2014 with the Arabic music chamber orchestra.

Released 2 SONGs (KAFI) Tourner dans le Vide (Arabic Adaptation Cover) & (LIMA?) We don’t talk anymore (Arabic Adaptation Cover) as part of kalamesque project.
Represented Jordan & Palestine in many international events.

الثائرة (THE REBEL) SYMPHONY Altha'era (the rebel) symphony the first piece Yara composed and conducted, to be the first Jordanian female to compose and conduct an orchestra in Jordan.
Between two cultures : Yara was shortlisted in the competition, that aimed to create a fusion between Denmark and Egypt through music.
الكرمل Classical strings quartet ,This piece was composed during a workshop with YES Academy In Lebanon, where Yara participated with a group of multinational talented musicians.
الكرامة Symphonic Poem,For the 50th Anniversary of Al KARAMA Battle, Jordan Armed Forces launched a competition for composing a symphonic poem, Yara Participated with Alkarama Piece where she won 3rd place and was honored in an official ceremony.
Composing music for films, Radio ad productions and jingles etc.
Choir & Orchestral Conducting conducted many events and concerts leading the orchestra from the music conservatory and the choir of corridor Jo and the orchestra( Jo orchestra). and worked with JFAC (Jordanian Female Artists Collaboration). in producing shows and song arrangements in addition to vocal coaching and performing .

Yara have participated in several musical theater shows and concerts, that involved Acting , Dancing , and singing. Some of the shows that Yara participated in is Dum Dum Tak, Christmas Musical, and Oliver Twist Musical (Arabic Adaptation),and the show دقة قديمة .

A Journey Of Passion & Music
Although I have started my musical journey around 2009 by singing in the National Music Conservatory, only in 2012 i’ve decided to follow my passion and took a leap of faith as I switched majors from business administration to music composition and conducting at the University of Jordan, to be the only female to choose study this major and despite its being a challenging one and an untraditional choice. Upon graduation in 2017, she became the First Female Orchestra Conductor with a university degree in this major in Jordan and one of only a handful of ”MAESTRA’S" in the Arab world.

Jordan Female Artist Collective -Jazz Festival
This project was a beautiful opportunity to utilize all my musical knowledge and experience as a soloist, artist, musician and as a conductor, working with such a talented group of female artist was challenging, inspiring and empowering. I worked with the group as a conductor, vocal coach and a vocalist, putting vocal & musical arrangements into shape.

To me performing locally or globally is always an opportunity to communicate and show the beauty of my hometown.
Represented Jordan and Palestine at Ethno Catalonia 2017, singing and playing the qanun, a descendent of the Egyptian harp that has been used in Arabic music since the tenth century. performed more than ten concerts around Spain and participated in many workshops.
